Inaugurated in 2008, Singapore Academy of Law Awards are a recognition of the notable contributions of the recipients for service in promoting and advancing the objectives of the Academy in particular and to the development of Singapore law in general. Recognition takes the form of the SAL Merit Awards and the Singapore Law Merit Awards respectively. The Singapore Academy of Law Awards Selection Committee, made up of senior echelon of the Singapore legal establishment, convenes to decide on the recipients of the pentennial Awards.
