On 20th August 2026, Seng Siew spoke on the topic “Beyond the Hype: Practical, Ethical, and Everyday AI for the Singapore Personal Injury Lawyer”.
On stage, he did something daring. He did 3 live demos before an audience of almost 200 PIPD lawyers of what Gen AI, Agentic AI and Autonomous AI can do to make practice more efficient.
His first demonstration was for the Gen AI tool to read and understand documents, contracts and correspondence concerning a contract dispute. The AI was instructed to ask clarification questions and not speculate about anything it did not understand. Once the information was ingested, he got the AI to draft an advice email to the client. Not send so that a human can review the draft. Finally the AI proposed a follow up meeting with the client and calendered it.
His other 2 demonstrations were about an automated daily news letter to staff of his law firm and an automated email triage called Sorting Hat.
