Eileen Lim is a legally trained dispute resolution practitioner with a strong interest in family law, probate matters, and collaborative approaches to conflict management. She graduated from the Singapore Management University with a Bachelor of Laws (High Merit), where her academic training included family law, mediation skills, dispute resolution advocacy, and cross-border legal exposure.
Her early professional experience spans the Legal Aid Bureau and several litigation-focused firms, where she worked on family law and probate matters, drafted Statements of Claim, Affidavits, Wills, and mediation summaries, and supported client interviews and legal research. She has also worked on matters involving contentious estates and complex personal disputes, gaining practical exposure to both adversarial proceedings and negotiated resolutions.
A distinguishing feature of Eileen’s professional orientation is her genuine interest in helping individuals move through conflict constructively. She recognises that legal disputes—particularly in family and estate contexts—are rarely purely legal in nature. They often involve layered emotional, relational, and financial dimensions. Her approach therefore emphasises clarity of rights and options, coupled with practical guidance toward solutions that reduce long-term strain and uncertainty.
Her academic exposure to Professional Mediation Skills informs her belief that early, structured dialogue can prevent escalation. She sees value in integrating mediation-informed thinking into legal practice, particularly in matters involving ongoing family relationships or intergenerational assets.
Bilingual in English and Mandarin, Eileen is attentive to communication dynamics and strives to ensure that clients feel heard and respected throughout the process. Her background in organisational and leadership roles during her academic years further strengthened her collaborative and administrative capabilities.
Beyond law, Eileen is an RYT200-certified yoga instructor and an active dancer. These pursuits are not incidental; they reflect her belief in emotional regulation, discipline, and resilience—qualities that are particularly important in high-conflict situations. She brings this balanced perspective into her professional engagements, whether in advisory work, structured dialogue settings, or training environments.
Eileen offers a younger practitioner’s perspective grounded in contemporary legal education and hands-on dispute experience. She contributes insights on navigating family and estate-related conflicts with sensitivity, structure, and a forward-looking mindset focused on sustainable resolution.
